Hot Take: Being basic is a perfectly acceptable personality!

It takes one person in your life to make a difference. I was fortunate enough to have two. Forty-one years ago, I attended Baby and Me post-natal classes with my new baby at the YMCA, which was once located on Main St, Willimantic. The instructor, Patti, took time with me in the class and eventually helped me train to run my first mile. She suggested I get some new running shoes from Nassiff’s, also once located on Main St, Willimantic. I proudly put on my first pair of New Balance and have been moving ever since.

Fast forward 3 years, ago I decided to walk into a local yoga studio also located in Willimantic. It was there that I met Haley Proto. I will forever know her as my Yoga Guru. I learned how to embrace my soul through her expertise and gentle kindness. The movement of the soul changes as we age. Our experiences create an inner peace we can’t always see when we are younger. Through Haley’s yoga offerings, I now embrace my inner peace and can move with grace.

It is an honor to bring The Mantra Room to South Windham, CT. I hope that you, too, will find that special educator within our space to help you embrace your inner peace and move your precious body for a lasting quality of life.

My Mantra: I am exactly the right age, embrace the journey.

Hot Take: In life, sometimes it’s more authentic to trust your instincts and adjust with humility than to wait for approval that may never come.

Hot Take: Growth doesn’t happen where it feels safe. There’s no comfort in the growth zone, and no growth in the comfort zone. Real growth stretches you, unsettles you, and challenges everything familiar.
